Cookieless analytics, explained

Is MetriXs really cookieless?
Yes. MetriXs never sets cookies or localStorage on a visitor's device. Visitor identification uses a daily-salted HMAC hash of the IP, user agent, and domain, rotated at midnight UTC. No personal data is stored, so no cookie banner or consent management is needed on your site.
Do I need a cookie banner with MetriXs?
No. Because MetriXs sets no cookies and stores no personal data, it falls outside the consent requirements of the GDPR ePrivacy rules. You can embed the script directly with no consent banner, no CMP, and no legal overhead.
Is MetriXs GDPR compliant?
Yes, by design. No cookies, no IP addresses stored (only a daily-salted hash), hosted in Germany, and no data leaves the EU. A signed DPA is available on the /dpa page.
Where is MetriXs hosted?
On Hetzner servers in Germany. No CDN or US edge provider sees your visitor data. The full list of subprocessors is on the /subprocessors page.
